U-CALL, WE HAUL • SOUTHERN MARYLAND
What Can You Put in a Dumpster?
Use this guide before booking or loading. Exact acceptance depends on material type, dumpster size and the receiving disposal facility.
Commonly accepted materials
- Household clutter and non-hazardous trash
- Furniture, mattresses and bulky items
- Wood, drywall and approved remodeling debris
- Yard debris when approved for the selected service
- Construction debris that meets the rental terms
Items that require advance approval
Tell us before booking if the load includes appliances, tires, electronics, unusually heavy materials or anything you are unsure about. Dirt, concrete and shingles are limited to 12- and 15-yard dumpsters and must be approved before delivery.
Never load hazardous or prohibited materials
- Paint, chemicals, solvents and hazardous liquids
- Propane tanks, fuel, oil and flammable material
- Batteries and hazardous electronic components
- Asbestos, medical waste or regulated waste
- Any material prohibited by the disposal facility or Maryland law
Why material type matters
Landfills and transfer facilities handle different materials under different rules. Identifying debris in advance prevents rejected loads, safety hazards, trip charges and unexpected disposal costs.
What happens if prohibited material is found?
The customer may be required to remove the material, and additional handling, disposal, delay or return-trip charges may apply under the rental terms and policies.
Still not sure?
